WHID ISLE BRITTANY CLUB FUN DAY

 

Where:  Canine Country Club picnic grounds- Fall City, WA (directions below)

 

When:  Sunday, August 16th, 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM (or whenever), rain or shine

 

Who/What to bring:  You, your family, your dog(s), your curiosity

 

Activities: 

  • Field work and demonstrations (grooming, show, obedience, agility) throughout the day!
  • Professional trainers and “knowledgeable” amateurs available to answer your questions!
  • Pigeons and chukar available to work your dog on for a nominal fee!
  • Get your dog groomed!  (please bathe Rover before you bring him out)

 

Schedule:

All day (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.):  Grooming, run dogs, bird work, have fun!!!

 

            10:00AM to 10:30AM:  Arrive, get some coffee, meet everyone

10:30AM to 11:00AM:  Getting Started with your Brittany (John Henderson)  

11:00AM to 12:00 noon:  Show Handling Demonstration (Pam Henderson & Sherre Granger)

Lunch break

1:00PM to 1:30PM:  Field Training Basics (Jim Cochran- Professional Trainer)

1:30PM to 2:00PM:  Prep for hunting season Q&A (Jim Cochran & John Henderson)

2:00PM to 3:00PM:  Obedience Demonstration (to be announced)

3:00PM to 4:00PM:  Rally/Agility Demonstration (to be announced)

 

Food & Refreshments: 

  • Coffee and muffins & sweet rolls in the morning
  • Hot dogs and hamburgers grilled from ~12:00 noon until ~1:00 PM (bring a side dish or dessert to share with everyone!)
  • Sodas and water available all day

 

Directions:

 

Take I-90 to Exit 22 (Preston/FallCity exit).  Coming from the east, take the exit, turn right and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Coming from the west, take the exit, turn left, cross over the freeway and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Turn right at the stop sign (Preston-Fall City Road) and follow the road into Fall City.  (Note- the speed limit in this area is low and heavily enforced).  Go through Fall City to the first stop sign, bear right and go over the river.  Take the first left after you cross the bridge (Hwy. 203), go about 100 yards, turn left on to Neal Road.  Follow this road for approximately 2.2 miles and you will pass Canine Country Club Kennels on your right.  Continue on the road, go past the big white building on your left and follow the signs into the picnic area on the left.
